In the Principal’s Office: Jackie Majdov
Mrs. Jackie Majdov brings to St. Sava Academy a strong background in education, leadership, and nonprofit management. She began her career as a science teacher and department head, where she mentored colleagues, shaped curriculum, and contributed to school-wide planning. Later, at Shedd Aquarium, she led professional teams, managed major budgets, and secured grant funding, reflecting her commitment to collaboration and innovation.
She holds a Master of Science from McGill University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago, with additional training in education through National Louis University, NASA, and Fermilab programs.
Beyond her professional career, Mrs. Majdov is deeply connected to our community. Her family is active in parish life, and her son is a student at the Academy. She has also served as a Parent Network volunteer, strengthening the partnership between families and the school.
As Principal, Mrs. Majdov is dedicated to nurturing academic excellence and cultivating a joyful, caring environment for students, teachers, and families.
