At Saint Sava Orthodox School in Chicago, we recognize the critical role early childhood education plays in shaping a child’s future. Our Early Childhood program, which includes both Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten, provides a nurturing, faith-centered environment that supports each child’s intellectual, emotional, and spiritual development. Families discover an approach that combines strong early academics, Orthodox Christian formation, and daily dual-language learning.
Our curriculum emphasizes key developmental areas, including language and literacy, cognitive growth, social and emotional skills, and physical development. The school day is intentionally structured so that half of the day is taught in English and the other half in either Serbian or Russian, allowing children to naturally develop dual-language ability through daily instruction and interaction. Experienced educators thoughtfully integrate Orthodox Christian teachings into lessons and activities, ensuring that spiritual formation progresses alongside academic readiness. Within our welcoming classrooms, children are encouraged to explore, create, and engage in meaningful learning experiences.
Grounded in Orthodox Christian values, our program helps children build a strong sense of identity and faith while developing essential life skills such as compassion, respect, and empathy. Students form meaningful friendships within a supportive, value-aligned community while building a solid foundation for future academic growth.
We encourage you to consider joining the Saint Sava Orthodox School community and providing your child with a strong beginning rooted in faith and learning. We welcome families to visit our campus, meet our dedicated educators, and experience first-hand the warm and supportive environment that defines our Early Childhood program.
