St. Sava Slava Celebration; Kindergarten-8th Grade

St. Sava Slava Celebration

Following our joyful Preschool & Pre-Kindergarten celebration held on Sunday at the Church Hall of Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, our Kindergarten through 8th Grade students continued the celebration of our beloved Saint Sava with a beautiful and meaningful program.

While the preschoolers celebrated in the parish hall, this program highlighted the academic growth, language studies, faith formation, and cultural heritage of our older students.

A Meaningful and Inspiring Program by Our Kindergarten – 8th Grade Students

Our Kindergarten through 8th Grade students proudly presented a rich and thoughtfully prepared program including:

• Recitations honoring the life and legacy of Saint Sava
• Spiritual hymns and academy songs celebrating faith and enlightenment
• Dramatic presentations reflecting Saint Sava’s journey and choices
• Traditional Serbian performances rooted in culture and heritage
• Russian poetry, folk song (Karavaj), and folk dance (Plesna)
• Multilingual presentations in Serbian, Russian, and English
• Musical performances celebrating unity, education, and faith

The celebration also included welcome greetings, reflections from our clergy and faculty, blessings, and the traditional Slava observances — reminding us of the deep spiritual foundation upon which Saint Sava Academy stands.

Watching our students — from Kindergarten to Eighth Grade — speak, sing, and perform with maturity and devotion reminded us how beautifully faith, education, and cultural identity grow together through the years.

Through Saint Sava’s example, our students continue to learn that knowledge, kindness, and spiritual strength walk hand in hand.
