We are thrilled to announce that St. Sava Academy has officially signed an agreement to acquire the St. Paul Lutheran Church and School property located on Canfield Road. The contract was signed today, effective January 27, the Feast of St. Sava, marking a momentous occasion in the history of our Academy.
This acquisition ensures that St. Sava Academy will have a permanent, well-equipped home for years to come, allowing us to continue our mission of building a foundation of faith and knowledge for future generations. The new location’s proximity to our Cathedral is a true blessing, and it is fitting that this milestone coincides with the celebration of St. Sava, whose legacy continues to inspire our Serbian Orthodox community.
We are deeply grateful to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Rev. Todd Roberts, and their leadership for their cooperation and for agreeing to lease back their sanctuary as part of the process. Special thanks also go to Fr. Dragan, our dedicated teachers, parents, volunteers, and to Petar Vezmar and attorney Milos Markovic for their significant roles in this historic achievement.
We also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our donors, supporters, and the wider community for their generosity and commitment to St. Sava Academy. Your prayers, contributions, and encouragement have made this dream a reality, and we are truly grateful for your unwavering support.
St. Sava Academy currently serves over 170 students, and this new property will allow us to expand and continue nurturing the spiritual and academic growth of our students. As we move forward, we humbly ask for your continued prayers and support to help make this vision a reality.
We are excited for what the future holds and invite you to join us in this once-in-a-generation opportunity to strengthen our Academy and community.
On behalf of the School Board and School Community,
V. Rev. Darko Spasojevic, PhD
Academy Rector
