Welcome Our New Principal, Mrs. Jackie Majdov

The Board of Trustees of St. Sava Academy is delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs. Jackie Majdov as our new Principal.

Mrs. Majdov brings to St. Sava Academy a strong background in education, leadership, and community engagement. As a science teacher and department head, she mentored new teachers in curriculum design, instructional practices, and classroom management. She also served on her school’s Instructional Leadership Team and hiring committee, contributing to school-wide strategic planning and improvement. In addition, she has led professional teams in nonprofit management at Shedd Aquarium, where she developed and oversaw comprehensive budgets and helped secure funding through grants and individual donors as part of the institution’s centennial plan – experience that reflects her commitment to innovation, collaboration, and sustainable growth.

She holds a Master of Science degree from McGill University, a Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and obtained her Secondary Education Certification  with coursework at National Louis University. She has also participated in specialized teacher programs with NASA and Fermilab.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Mrs. Majdov is closely connected to our St. Sava community. Her family has been active in our church and cultural life, and their son is currently a first-grade student at St. Sava Academy. She has also volunteered with the Parent Network, strengthening the bonds between families and the school.

Looking ahead, Mrs. Majdov is committed to building on the Academy’s strong foundation, nurturing academic excellence and cultivating a joyful and caring environment for students, teachers, and families.

We warmly welcome Mrs. Jackie Majdov as our new Principal and look forward to the many blessings and successes that lie ahead under her leadership. Please join us in praying for her guidance by the Holy Spirit as she embarks on this important role in service to our students, families, and community.
